Children Can Experience Many Sports At OAC Summer Camps

The Ottawa Athletic Club has 35 years of summer camp experience.

“Our longevity gives parents peace of mind, knowing their children are under careful supervision from our well trained and experienced staff, all CPR and first aid certified,” says Monique Ouellette, marketing director of the Ottawa Athletic Club.

“Our camps are designed to build self-esteem in campers as they learn to interact with others, learning a variety of sports while having a blast. We have many of the same campers coming back year after year because of the amazing experience they have had at our camps.”

“The Ottawa Athletic Club’s summer camps offer a wonderful and diverse experience for girls and boys between the ages of four and 14,” says Ouellette. “They can enjoy everything from an exceptional multi-sport camp in which they are introduced to a variety of indoor and outdoor activities to the more sport-specific tennis and golf camps.”

OAC Sports Camp is designed for children interested in acquiring new skills in a variety of sports and recreational activities, she says. Instruction is given in many activities, including tennis, golf, squash, racquetball, beach volleyball, basketball and soccer.

OAC tennis director Tony Roth is the recipient of Tennis Canada’s Coaching Excellence Award. He’s designed several programs, all run by professionally certified and highly experienced coaches.

If your child has an interest in golf, the OAC Golf Camp helps children experience the game in a creative learning environment. There’s a strong emphasis on the fundamentals, including full swing, putting, pitching and chipping. Their team of experienced camp counsellors teach at their summer location, Falcon Ridge Golf Club. Children also look forward to viewing a video of their swing at the end of the week.

Douvris Martial Arts is the latest addition to the exceptional lineup of OAC summer camps lead by Douvris Martial Arts black belt instructor Sensei Nick Douvris. This camp also includes a variety of other games and sports.

All of the OAC summer camps include a daily swim, supervised by certified instructors, pizza day every Friday, progress reports and achievements certificates. The OAC camp is full-time days for participants, and offers a full weekly lunch menu.

The Ottawa Athletic Club is located at 2525 Lancaster Rd.
