Adventures in Engineering and Science is a not for profit program with the mandate of promoting science, engineering and technology to youth across Ontario and Quebec. Run through the faculty of Engineering at the University of Ottawa by undergraduate engineering and science students, the program offers interactive workshops, summer programs, and community events for youth grades K-12.
EngSci Summer Camps:
Our EngSci camp is designed for youth between the ages of 5-13. This program will give them opportunity to discover and use real chemistry, dissection, physics & mechanical engineering labs! Campers will get the opportunity to build and create a wide array of projects like mechanical machines, chemistry experiments, circuits, and more! Projects are specifically designed for the various age groups and are always different every year! Campers can also attend 4 weeks without repeating any of the same activities.
GirlSci Summer Camps:
In our GirlSci camps, young girls will get the opportunity to discover and use real chemistry, dissection, physics & mechanical engineering labs in an all girl environment! The goal of this program is to offer a non threatening environment for young girls, so they can discover about the wonders of science & engineering. The girls also get the opportunity to participate in activities exclusive to the GirlSci camp like special mentor events & girl themed activities.
EngTech Summer Camps:
Our EngTech camp is designed for youth between the ages of 8-13, campers will get the opportunity to discover and use real computer science & electrical engineering labs! Campers will get the opportunity to work on a variety of computer based projects like animation, programming, game creation, 3D modeling & web design. Participants will also get the opportunity to do hands on projects relating to engineering and technology such hardware dissections and circuit designs. Projects are modified every year and change every week on a 4 week curriculum cycle.
