Centaur Riding School has been providing a safe and fun summer equestrian environment for horse-crazy kids since 1973. We are located in Navan, Ontario, just east of Ottawa, minutes from Orleans.
Daycamp mornings are spent learning and practicing basic horse handling skills, such as leading, grooming, tacking up, followed by riding in a small group. Students with prior riding experience are placed in a more advanced group. Afternoons are spent either riding again and/or learning different horsey things, such as horse colours, breeds, what horses eat, etc.
Everything they do in camp has to do with horses!
A riding Demonstration for the parents and families is planned for every Friday where the riders get to show off all that they have learned. Bring your cameras!
The daycamps are from 9:00 to 4:00, with before and after care also available. Ages 9 years and up are accepted. ASTM-approved riding helmets are available for students to borrow. Bilingual instruction is offered.
What better way to introduce your child to horses and riding
