Camp Kirk, located in Kirkfield, Ontario is a unique coed camp for kids ages 6-13 who specialize in serving children with learning disabilities, autism and attention deficit disorder. By keeping a very high staff to camper ratio, they offer a nurturing, supportive and non-competitive environment where children can challenge themselves to be their best.
Several other camps including Funtabulous Faces, Dovercourt Recreation Centre and Autism Ontario-Camp A-OK all offer programs tailored to kids with special needs. The city of Ottawa is also committed to including participants with special needs in all their Parks, Recreation and Cultural programs throughout the city.
